Note: When leaf springs are replaced, the u-bolts removed cannot be reused. Suspension u-bolts feature a smooth rolled thread, while the mating hi-nuts are equipped with sharp cut threads. When a u-bolt is tightened to its recommended torque level, the u-bolt threads stretch as they mate with the hi-nuts. Though not always visible to the naked eye, this process damages the threads. Removing the hi-nuts from the u-bolt will result in cross-threading that prevents the u-bolt from being adequately re-torqued.Chevy 221195 22 1195
