Opt for Superior Spring's high-quality leaf springs, a wise choice to ensure your heavy-duty Chevrolet P3500 vehicles perform impeccably, even in the most challenging conditions.
Remember, when replacing leaf springs, it's important to know that the removed u-bolts should not be reused. The reason is that suspension u-bolts are created with smoothly rolled threads, in contrast to the sharply cut threads of the corresponding hi-nuts. When a u-bolt is tightened to the suggested torque level, its threads are stretched during the mating process with the hi-nuts. This stretching, though often imperceptible to the naked eye, results in thread damage. Removing the hi-nuts from the u-bolt can lead to cross-threading, preventing the u-bolt from being properly re-torqued.</p>
